The process involves the introduction of the JRI+ joint of vertical walls in the mass of freshly spread concrete pavement. Attached to the lead are the pusher plates and a vibrator for each of the JRI+ trays. The plate serves to push the tray down whilst the vibrator about 15 cm in front of it reduces the coefficient of friction in the fresh concrete, both enabling the introduction of the joint in the concrete mass. Once the board is embedded, the lead rises (with plates and vibrators). The finishing is performed by cross raking followed by smoothing the surface with a roller to allow optimum IRI. It ends with a burlap or longitudinal brushing to achieve the desired roughness.
